ગટરોના ખુલ્લા ઢાંકણા મોં ફાડીને રાહ જુવે છે કોઈ મોટા અકસ્માતની : આ વિસ્તારમાં શાળા-કોલેજોના સેંકડો વિદ્યાર્થીઓને ભારે હાલાકી

મોરબી : મોરબીનો ભાગ્યે જ કોઈ એવો વિસ્તાર હશે કે જ્યાં ગટરો ઉભરાવવાની ત્રાસદી ન હોય. પાલિકામાં રોજની સેંકડોની સંખ્યામાં ફરિયાદોનો જાણે ધોધ વહે છે. આમ છતાં આ બાબતે તંત્ર કાંતો ઉદાસીન છે કાંતો સફાઈ મામલે વામણું સાબિત થઈ રહ્યું છે

મોરબીના હાર્દસમા શનાળા રોડ પર આવેલી મહેશ હોટલ પાસે ઉભરાતી ગટરોને કારણે સતત ગંદકી ફેલાયેલી રહેતી હોવાથી સ્થાનિકો ત્રાસી ગયા છે. આ સમસ્યાના મૂળમાં તંત્રની અણઘડ કાર્યપધ્ધતિની સાથો સાથ અમુક કોમ્પ્લેક્ષના રહીશોની બેદરકારી પણ કારણભૂત હોવાનું ચર્ચાઈ રહ્યું છે. મુખ્ય ડ્રેનેજ ગટરનું ઢાંકણું જ ન હોવાથી કોઈ મોટા અકસ્માતનો ગંભીર ભય સ્થાનિકો પર તોળાઈ રહ્યો છે. આ વિસ્તારમાં શાળા-કોલેજોના સેંકડો વિદ્યાર્થીઓ ભારે અગવડ વેઠીને પસાર થાય છે. આ તમામ બાબતો અંગે તંત્રનું વારંવાર ધ્યાન દોરવા છતાં તંત્ર આ સમસ્યાના નિરાકરણ બાબતે વામણું પુરવાર થઈ રહ્યું છે. વધુમાં ધર્મેન્દ્ર પ્લાઝા કોમ્પ્લેક્ષના તમામ પાઇપ બહારના રસ્તા પર ખુલ્લામાં રાખી દેવામાં આવતા એ જગ્યા ગંદકીથી ખદબદી રહી છે. મોટા ભાગની દુકાનો ભાડુઆતો પાસે છે આથી દુકાનના મૂળ માલિકો પણ આ સમસ્યા પ્રત્યે દુર્લક્ષ સેવે છે. આથી પાછલા 6 મહિનાથી આ સમસ્યા વધુ વકરી છે. માધ્યમોમાં આ અંગે વારંવાર અહેવાલો પ્રસિદ્ધ થયા હોવા છતાં તંત્રના આંખ-કાન સુધી આ ત્રાસદી પહોંચી નથી ત્યારે હવે સ્થાનિકો દ્વારા પાલિકા કચેરીએ મોરચો લઈ જવાય ત્યારે જ તંત્રના ધ્યાને આ બાબત આવશે એવું ચર્ચાઈ રહ્યું છે.
